Batman Noir 2013

Series of dark re-imagined Batman characters I did as I practiced capturing character essence.
Batman was drawn to appear as though the identity of the cape/suit was surrealistically more him than the man. His silhouette appears coffin-like but regal. Above were the scattering pearls from the fateful night that shaped him, symboling his madness but also a constellation of a destiny born.
